A friend who stand next to you in each phase of life is true friend..That person shows selfless love and friendship.. Selfless friendship is the greatest weapon in the world for conquer the fear. True friend believes on you and help you when ever you are in trouble, he/she sharing small small moment of their life with you...
On other hand selfish friend also exist. A person who is standing n ext to you and watch you in trouble and ignore instead of helping you is selfish friend. Selfish friend is rich in words but poor in deed. When you are in trouble that person leaves you in that lurch.
Basically selfless friend is angel and selfish friend is devil....
Best example of selfless friendship is-- Krishna and sudama..
They both showed the meaning of true friendship, they care for each other, they don't believe on status (rich and poor) they just showed genuine friendship..
When sudama arrived to Krishna's palace, Krishna give him seat and wash sudama's feet by his tears.. Krishna was very happy that dy because his friend came to meet him, but he was sad because of the condition of his friend, then he decided to make his friend rich...
True friendship means great self-sacrifice on the part of both. A true friend foregoes pleasure and convenience. Joy and sorrow, success and failure, good fortune and misfortune, are equally shared by a pair of true friends.
They shoulder the burden of life equally for they feel that they sail in the same boat and that they have to sink and swim together.
On other hand example of selfish friendship is Duryodhan and karana, duryodhan knew that karana was son of kunti but he used karana as a weapon in Mahabharata's war against karana's brother "The Pandavas". Duryodhan showed his selfishness but karana showed meaning of friendship.
A selfless friend stops you when you are wrong but selfish friend motivates you to that work.
A friend is a medicine of life, lucky is the man who has true friends in his/her life...
